History
SAVA Trading Co is located in Liberty, MO, a suburb of Kansas City, MO and was established in 2019. SAVA is curating the world’s finest vanilla from Madagascar and cultivating change. They are committed to building long-term partnerships and serving the communities from which they directly source their vanilla beans. They honor the farmers as craftsmen and treat them as partners in their business.
Design Inspiration
The hand-drawn SAVA text logo is organic, grounded and approachable, while the minimalist, deep charcoal, and gold foil border and accents on the labels are refined and radiant. The sans-serif Gotham font is contemporary and elegant. The red bird is a vibrant, eye-catching detail and a symbol special to the owners, Kurtis & Holly.

The SAVA Story & Commentary on Our Partnership
SAVA Trading Co is curating the world’s finest vanilla and cultivating change. This brand has been so fun to watch grow and an honor to be a part of from the beginning; it’s one of those brands that gives you the feels to see their success and know that they’re working directly with the farmers in Madagascar, investing in the communities’ education, providing clean water and healthcare opportunities, and alleviating poverty.
SAVA Trading Co has partnered with other incredible brands local to the Kansas City, Missouri area such as J.Reiger to create a special edition barrel-aged vanilla extract, Messenger Coffee, Christopher Elbow Chocolates, and many more! They were even featured on Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street website.
SAVA’s list of product offerings has grown tremendously. They started with gourmet and extract grade vanilla beans in vacuum packs and vials, and 2oz & 4oz extract bottles. Now, they offer ground vanilla bean powder, simple syrups, vanilla sugar, lip balm, paste, wholesale gallon jugs in some products, home extraction kits, gift boxes, handmade soap, t-shirts, hoodies, and caps. You can find them in local retail stores and boutiques, and their pure and barrel-aged extracts are coming to Walmart soon!
