Il Lazzarone – Authentic Neapolitan Pizza
History
Neapolitan pizza dates back to 1889 in Naples. Chef Erik Borger has a passion for making the most authentic quality pies. Both locations (St. Joseph & Kansas City, MO) are certified by the official Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana (AVPN). The handmade ovens cook pizza at 1000ºF in less than 90 seconds.
Design Inspiration
The design of the website was inspired by the geometric and Bauhaus design style brand, and the unique interiors of both location. In his love of labor and the build-out process, Chef Borger planned and renovated the pizzeria spaces from floor to ceiling, everything from the custom wood tables and bench seating to the plumbing, electrical, and bars.
