Testimonial
I cannot imagine Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art reaching the level of success it has without the skill of Ashley Cameron not only with the website design but with design of our invitations, postcards, membership brochures, newsletters and other documents necessary to the continued success of our nonprofit art museum. The awards won at the Mountain-Plains Museums Association over the seven years Ashley has been working for the museum are largely due to her outstanding designs.

Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art
David City, Nebraska
History
Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art is the nation’s only exclusively agrarian art museum presenting art that connects people to the land. Exhibitions and related events such as artist talks, panel discussions, art workshops, poetry readings, humanities presentations, and musical performances celebrate the heritage and current themes of rural and farm life. David City is the hometown of nationally recognized Regionalist artist Dale Nichols whose work is the heart of the permanent collection.
Design Inspiration
Ashley has designed most every print piece throughout the years: quarterly newsletters, annual membership brochures, annual postcards for Cornfest, ads, exhibition titles, two catalogs/books and more. Each piece is mindful of using the brand colors, graphics, and imagery that complement the agrarian landscape and connection of people to the land. The outside newsletter panel artwork has remained timeless throughout the years.
Awards & Recognition
Ashley has been an integral part of building Bone Creek Museum’s brand and increasing their online presence and national recognition through numerous publication awards throughout the years for newsletters, catalogs/books, brochures, and invitations. In 2011, their website won the Outstanding Website Award from the Nebraska Department of Travel & Tourism and presented by the governor.
Cornfest
Invitations & Tickets
Bone Creek Museum hosts an annual Cornfest event consisting of activities, live music and entertainment, presentations, a dinner, silent auction, and sometimes poetry and artisan-made gifts. Ashley designs the postcard and event tickets.
Worthy Rivals
Book Design
When it comes to Regionalist and Social Realist art, two of the best artists representing these styles are Nebraska’s own Dale Nichols and Terence Duren. Ashley designed and laid out this 152-page hardcover book of full-color artwork. In 2019, Worthy Rivals won the MPMA Publication Design Competition Award.
The book offers a glimpse into the lives of these two remarkable artists, showing the rich history of American Scene Painting forged on the rolling fields of Nebraska in the 20th century.
150 for Nebraska’s 150th
150 ARTISTS, 150 ARTWORKS, 150 YEARS OF NEBRASKA IN MINIATURE
In 2017, More than 150 artists submitted an original work of agrarian art honoring the state of Nebraska. This major exhibition and sale celebrates and features many Nebraska artists, their craft, and this great state. It includes works from artists who have connections to Nebraska through having exhibited at Bone Creek Museum or through family ties.
Ashley designed and developed a special exhibition gallery page in which users could view and purchase artwork.
Denise Lemaster:
Canadian Foothills
Exhibition Catalog Design
This exhibition catalog was designed for Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art in 2014. Denise depicts the feeling of interconnectedness of the viewer to the land through her simple yet bold and emotional oil paintings which focus on the foothills of the western Canadian countryside. The page layout and pagination are minimalistic to keep the paintings as the main focus.
